ACCOUNTANT – MULTICINEMAS (GUYANA) INC

VACANCY 
DESCRIPTION

This position is primarily responsible for the preparation of Management Accounts, Financial Statements and managing the Accounting Staff.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualified Accountant or equivalent.

At least five (5) years accounting experience.

Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Working experience with a Financial Accounting package.

Some supervisory skills would be an asset.

Strong leadership skills with solid communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in Auditing will be an asset

Good analytical skills

Two (2) years working experience in the same or similar position would be an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Statements

Presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Statements to the Board of Directors as and when required

Preparation of annual budgets and cash flow projections

Cash Management/Bank Reconciliation: overall monitoring and control of financial resources to ensure adequacy and proper allocation

Assist in the selection and overall management, training and appraisal of subordinates in the Accounts Department

Review of work performed by staff – monthly payroll audit, daily concession audit, month end concession and main audit, maintenance stock audit (usage), party room report/audit

Provide assistance and guidance to staff and management on financial matters as required.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for VAT, Corporation Tax, Annual Returns and preparation of TD4s for Managers.
