Senior Auditors

Vacancies exist for Senior Auditors within the National Insurance Scheme Guyana.
The position of Senior Auditor is permanent, pensionable and an attractive remuneration is offered.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Chief Management Auditor this position conducts routine audit checks including financial, compliance and operational audits as defined by the audit plan with the aim of highlighting defaults and/or discrepancies in order that recommendations can be made for corrective action.
• Conducts internal audit reports of various Departments functions including operational and financial audits.
• Prepares audits reports including the audit findings, in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
• Assess the audit finding and recommends corrective measures to ensure effectiveness in financial system operations.
• Ensures, tracks and monitors appropriate follow-up actions
• Ensures best practices, standards and procedures of the Scheme in all audit operations.
• Deals with audit queries and discuss difficult situations with Management Auditor.
• Develops innovative and creative recommendations for correcting unsatisfactory conditions, improving operations, and reducing cost.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should possess a Diploma in Accounting or its equivalent, plus more than four (4) years’experience as an Internal Auditor with the organization.
