WAITER/WAITRESS – Total-Base Services Guyana Inc.

The Waiter is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to guests professionally and courteously. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience while maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• 2-4 years previous experience as a water is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and processing transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Customer Service:
  • Promptly, presenting menus and providing information about daily specials.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring attention to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Deliver food and beverages to tables efficiently, checking for guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
• Menu Knowledge:
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
  • Upsell and recommend additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, and beverages, to enhance the dining experience.
• Table Maintenance:
  • Ensure tables are set and ready for guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service.
  • Refill drinks, clear empty plates, and maintain a tidy dining area during service.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service and address guest needs.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe dining environment.
• Guest Relations:
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues to ensure satisfaction.
