SOILS LABORATORY TECHNICIAN – Geosolutions Guyana Inc.

As a Soil Technician, you will be responsible for laboratory testing of both disturbed and undisturbed soil samples. You will be responsible for conducting the requisite laboratory tests in accordance with the relevant ASTM standards in a timely manner to reach deadlines set forth by your supervisors.

·         Diploma in Civil Engineering.

·         A minimum of 3 years of experience in Soil Laboratory Testing.

•  Undertake Site visits to scope the extent of the Geotechnical investigation;

• Assist with the field staff in returning samples from site to the laboratory;
• Report data in an accurate, complete, timely, and understandable fashion in accordance with applicable testing procedures;
• Ensure that all test equipment used is functioning properly, maintained as required by the company and/or manufacturer’s policy and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle;
• Ensure that project requirements are met and are compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures;
• Attend all technician meetings;
• Complete laboratory reports accurately in accordance with company policy;
• Follow all company safety procedures and policies;
• Other duties may be assigned.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
