SITE TECHNICIAN / CLERK OF WORKS – Deen + Partners

This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your skills, offering a wide range of interesting and challenging responsibilities. You will team up with other Engineers and Designers from various disciplines. Your core responsibilities will be inspecting construction works to ensure it meets standards and health and safety requirements.

Relevant Education and Experience related to this position will be preferred.

1. Inspecting construction work and reference to drawings and specifications – Communicate deviations to team leader

2. Taking measurements and visual inspection of ongoing works on a daily basis – Record all measurements in an organized manner
3. Assist in quantifying ongoing and completed works and keep accurate records
4. Identifying defects / substandard works and communicate same to team leader
5. Monitoring progress and reporting to Team Leader
6. Taking photographs of works daily and submit to Team Leader as required.
7. Be accountable and comply with all instructions and requests by the Team leader, Engineer etc.
8. Assist in monitor and oversee the Pouring of Concrete and other integral aspects of works inclusive of setting out.
9. Prepare daily site reports as directed by Team Leader. This must contain activities related to the project, weather conditions, nature and location of work being performed.
10. Oversee field site activities
11. Participate in progress meetings with the contractor, client, etc.
12. Any other duties as assigned.
