We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team at Beharry Automotive Limited. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently pursuing CAT qualification or a Diploma in Accounting.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable transactions including verifying, coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
- Review and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and payment discrepancies.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and account reconciliations.
- Assist with any other tasks as assigned by the Accountant/Accounts Supervisor.
