SKILLED CONSTRUCTION WORKER – Demerara Sales and Services Inc

Description

Skilled worker to undertake construction work in the areas of masonry, carpentry, painting, tiling.

Standard Working Hours – 7:45 am to 5:00pm; 5 days a week; job may require working weekends or overtime as needed to meet deadlines at some times

Working Location – Employee reports to site office in G/town and is transported to job sites; primarily within Region 4

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years prior construction experience
• Mastery of at least one finishing skill (carpentry, masonry, welding etc). Multiple skills are an asset
• Training certificates or any relevant qualification from a recognized institution is an asset
• Preferred method of pay is via a bank account deposit

Responsibilities

• To complete construction and finishes to a neat standard in keeping withe the client expectations and project drawings/scope
• To adhere to safety practices and safety equipment use at all times
• To maintain a work area that is clean and orderly at all times

Remuneration/Benefits

• All safety equipment provided by employer (coveralls, shoes, gloves, harnesses, helmets, respirators etc as needed)
• All tools provided by employer
• Transportation to and from job site to site office provided
• Rate of $10,000 GYD offered (9000 basic rate and 1000 incentive awarded for punctuality and keeping an orderly site)
