Description

As a Procurement Clerk at Muneshwers Limited, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services necessary for our company’s operations. Your primary responsibilities will include liaising with department heads, sourcing items, negotiating prices, setting up credit facilities when needed, and maintaining accurate stock records. Your role will play a crucial part in the success and growth of our organization.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 subjects CXC, inclusive of English and Maths
  • At least one (1) year experience in a similar capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • Negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Procurement policy relative to the company
  • Knowledge of inventory software/spreadsheet
  • Pleasant personality and customer service oriented.
  • Sound work ethics Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

  1. Sourcing and Procurement: Collaborate with department heads to identify and source the items required by the company while considering the best quality at the most competitive prices.
  2. Purchase Order Preparation: Prepare purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary details are included.
  3. Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to secure acceptable prices and terms for goods and services. Strive to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
  4. Credit Facilities: When necessary, set up credit facilities with suppliers, adhering to company policies and financial guidelines.
  5. Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain regular communication with suppliers, schedule meetings as needed, and monitor the quality of products and services received. Address any issues promptly and effectively.
  6. Status Updates: Keep department heads informed about the status of orders, deliveries, and any potential delays. Provide timely updates on procurement activities.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock levels in each department, including stock in transit and stock on hand.
