Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team and help manage our payroll operations effectively. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and maintaining employee records. You will work closely with our HR and Finance departments to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and company policies.
Requirements
- A high school diploma: additional education in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role.
- Familiarity with payroll software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll for all employees
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, deductions, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to department heads.
- Assist with tax filing.
- Address and resolve any payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- Update employee records for pay changes, deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all payroll data.
- Perform any other duties as assigned in connection with this role.
