Description
- To review applications, establish appropriate screening protocols, and developing new methodologies and models to assess the financial risk that the company assumes in the course of its transactions with clients.
Requirements
- Diploma in Management, and or Business Administration from a recognized university
- Must be computer Literate (Quickbooks Proficiency)
- At least 2-3 Years’ Underwriting Insurance Experience
- Good Interpersonal Skills
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing insurance applications for compliance and adherence
- Properly assess clients’ background information and financial status
- Liaising with specialists to gather information and opinions
- Weight loss exposures and determine underwriting alternatives
- Participate in continuing education courses to remain knowledgeable and competitive in the industry
- Review insurance claims and terms to determine the amount to be paid out by the company
- Decide whether or not to offer insurance
- Determine coverage and premiums based on risk assessed
- Review quotes for competitive insurance premiums
- Negotiate and define the specific terms of insurance policies with brokers or policyholders
- Keep detailed records of policies underwritten and decisions made
- Balance between mass and homogeneity of risks to achieve predictability of future results
- Follow applicable insurance laws
- Any other related duties that maybe assigned to you
