As the Shift Supervisor/Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of our brand. This position involves ensuring that the brand operates efficiently, maintains high standards of customer service, and meets sales and productivity goals during your shift. You will be the point of contact for staff, driving consistency and excellence within the branch.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum of a Diploma in Business Management; Hospitality; or Food and Nutrition OR equivalent years of experience
  • Must have knowledge of, and be willing to enforce applicable laws and necessary Health and Safety protocols
  • Must have a valid food handler’s certificate and police clearance
  • Must be mature and disciplined
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work well with minimum supervision
  • Must be proactive
  • Must be an excellent team player
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise the team during your shift, ensuring that all staff are well-trained, engaged, and committed to providing exceptional customer service. Conduct shift briefings daily at the beginning of your respective shifts.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage daily operations, ensuring consistency in processes, quality of products, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Notify the Mall Manager if you notice any non-compliances. Refer opening and closing checklists for smooth operations.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that the branch delivers a high level of customer satisfaction, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues effectively during your shift.
  • Staff Scheduling and Management: Assist in coordinating staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during your shift. Address any staffing issues that arise. Approach coaching, counselling or disciplinary methods with discussions with Mall Manager for employees who have discrepancies in attendance and timeliness.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards during your shift.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality of food and beverages are up to the standards all the time. Do not compromise and ensure the team do not skip proper steps as per SOPs. Discuss with Mall Manager and find solutions to implement for any gaps which are being identified.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates and reports on branch performance to the Mall Manager, including customer feedback and operational issues.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training new employees and providing ongoing development opportunities for current staff.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise among staff or with customers promptly and effectively.
  • Cash Handling: Ensure transparency and integrity in handling cash. Assist the cashier when needed during operations and ensure all consumptions are tracked properly in POS
  • Handover | Takeover: Ensure proper communication between different shift leaders, Mall Manager and fellow associates as necessary regarding shifts and overall operations.
