CIVIL ENGINEER – One Communications

Description

This individual will be responsible for conducting site inspections, coordinating maintenance tasks, computing Bill of Quantities  and producing corresponding drawings. The Civil Engineer will also be responsible and for the planning and execution of new buildings and civil projects (design or remodeling/rehabilitating) to the Company’s Facilities.

Requirements

• University Diploma in an Engineering discipline (preferably Civil) or related field required; plus 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.   
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting software 
• Working experience in preparation of Bill of Quantities or other quantitative documentation. 
• Valid driver’s license for Car/Van would be an asset

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits, collect information, prepare drawings using AUTOCAD and corresponding bill of quantities.
•  Responsible for the planning and execution of civil works projects. 
• Supervise works being undertaken by contractors in accordance with technical specifications of projects.  
• Prepare purchase requisitions, payment certificates and other required documents for work, services and supplies.  
• Perform routine civil inspection of One Communications properties and document findings.
