GESG Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the logistics operations for our diverse projects, ensuring efficient and cost-effective management of resources and supply chains. This role requires someone with a strong background in logistics management, as well as AI competence to integrate advanced technologies into the process. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and AI applications in the logistics field.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 2-3 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain management, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of AI tools and technologies, with the ability to apply them in logistics operations.
• Knowledge of logistics best practices, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Required Certifications (or equivalent experience):

• Certification in Supply Chain Management or equivalent (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
• Knowledge of AI applications in logistics and supply chain management.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency with logistics management software and AI-based optimization tools.
• Experience in the oil and gas or technology sectors.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination:

• Oversee and coordinate all logistics activities, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials, products, and services.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services across all company operations.
• Collaborate with various departments to assess and forecast logistical needs.

Supply Chain Management:

• Develop and maintain an efficient and cost-effective supply chain strategy.
• Optimize logistics systems to reduce costs and improve service delivery.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

AI Integration in Logistics:

• Utilize AI tools and technologies to analyze and optimize supply chain processes.
• Implement AI-driven solutions to forecast demand, manage risks, and optimize route planning.
• Collaborate with the IT department to identify and integrate new AI technologies to enhance logistics efficiency.

Vendor and Supplier Relations:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
• Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with vendors to ensure favorable terms for the company.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance:

• Ensure that all logistics operations comply with HSE regulations.
• Implement safe transportation practices and manage potential risks in logistics operations.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of logistics activities and inventory levels.
• Prepare reports on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
