QUARRY MANAGER – G Mining Services

Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quarry Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our quarry site. The successful candidate will ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the quarry, manage resources, personnel, equipment, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quarry operations or mining management, with proven supervisory or managerial experience in a mining or quarrying environment.
• Hands-on experience with drilling, blasting, crushing, and material handling operations.
• Proficiency in using mining software and GPS technology for site planning
• Must be proficient in Microsoft software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee quarry operations to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
• Supervise drilling, blasting, loading, and transportation of material. Ensure the proper functioning and availability of essential tools and machinery.
• Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Implement site-specific safety procedures to minimize accidents and ensure the safety of all workers.
• Lead, train, and supervise quarry staff, ensuring effective communication among teams.
• Promote a culture of safety and teamwork while resolving work-related conflicts.
• Prepare and manage operational budgets, maintaining accurate records of production, safety incidents, and maintenance activities.
