Job Description:

We are currently seeking a qualified local engineer to support the Kato & Moruca Hospital Construction Project in Georgetown, Guyana. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Chief Engineer in external technical communications and ensure seamless coordination among all project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building construction and a strong understanding of architectural principles.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Proven experience in building construction at least 5 years, including international engineering experience.

Prior experience acting as a representative of a contractor or subcontractor is highly desirable.

Familiarity with and practical knowledge of FIDIC contract terms.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to work independently and within a team. Proactive, well-organized, and able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Chief Engineer in managing external technical communication with employer  consultants, supervision engineers, and authorities.

Support the project technical team in preparing, organizing, and submitting technical documents to supervision and regulatory bodies.

Participate in technical meetings and provide on-site support as needed.

Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve any technical issues that may arise during the construction process.

Remuneration/Benefits

Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time

Monthly Salary: GYD 300,000 – 700,000 (negotiable based on qualifications and experience)
