SHORT-TERM CONSULTANCY- HYDRAULIC SPECIALIST: GUIDELINES TO IMPLEMENT STANDARDS FOR DRAINAGE AND IRRIGATION
INFRASTRUCTURE
The National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) invites individual consultants to express interest in providing a Short-Term Consultancy- Guidelines to Implement Standards for Drainage and Irrigation Infrastructure. The Consultancy is for a three (3) month period. If you wish to express your interest, kindly submit your curriculum vitae (CV) and certified copies of your qualifications.
Scope of Services
- Formulate Technical Guidelines to implement standards for Drainage and irrigation
Infrastructure (similar to building codes) - Consult with the NDIA, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Housing and Water, Ministry of Public Works, River and Sea Defence Department, Regional Democratic Councils (RDCs), Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDCs) and any other relevant bodies in formulating those guidelines.
- Recommend monitoring and supervision of those guidelines
- At the end of the three-month period, provide a comprehensive document with guidelines
Academic Qualifications
• MSc. In Hydraulic Engineering, or any other related field (must be a hydraulic specialist)
Specific Experience
- Fifteen (15) years’ experience with at least ten (10) years within the construction sector / drainage and irrigation sector.
- Experienced in project implementation and project management, would be an asset.
- Strong communication skills
