Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and improve mechanical systems.
- Plan projects, test equipment, and ensure safety & quality standards.
- Lead preventive & corrective maintenance.
- Reduce downtime and control repair costs.
- Supervise mechanics and workshop operations.
- Train, motivate, and ensure accountability.
- Manage parts inventory and storage efficiently.
- Work with Procurement to ensure timely supply.
- Implement cost-saving strategies.
- Submit weekly performance reports and track KPIs.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, and heavy equipment.
- Experience supervising mechanics and workshop operations.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Cost control mindset with attention to efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication and repairs.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (recognized in Guyana).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, workshop supervision, or industrial maintenance.
- Experience in logistics, construction, or mining equipment is an asset.
- Knowledge of maintenance systems, procurement, and supply chain.
