SECURITY GUARD – GUYSONS

DESCRIPTION

To provide and maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015, API Spec. Q1 and ISO 45001 International Standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Three (3) CXC subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English are preferred
• 3-5 Years’ practical experience in similar role
• A military background is preferable
• Must be able to work independently
• Must have ability to pay Attention to Details
• Must be able to work under intense conditions and extended hours, if needed
• Must be able to interact with internal and external customers and maintain good working relationships
• Must be able to verbally communicate effectively
• Must have a pleasant, non-judgmental disposition

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check Premises and Building before Opening and after Closing times
• Report anything unusual to SHEQ lead
• Screen all visitors before they enter Guysons Premises and ensure a visitor’s badge is issued
• Inform visitors to return their Visitors’ passes on their way out
• Make sure the # of Visitor Passes given out matches the number returned
• Greet and direct visitors to relevant HOD
• Be alert, attentive and vigilant at your designated post and avoid any behavior that is likely to distract your attention away from your duties e.g., personal phone use or lengthy non-work-related conversations with employees or visitors
• Record visitors’ information accurately
•  Inform/assist visitors to write their names, phone # and reason for visit in the Visitors book under the relevant day and date
• Perform random security checks of Offices/Lockers/Employees Bags/Shop Floor
• Record date and time of security checks in Security book
• Carry out Monthly SSHEQ Inspections
• Prevent losses and damages by reporting irregularities in every area under your watch
• Direct Visitors’ parking at entrance of Company to keep entrance clear
• Support the Finance Department with conducting transactions as needed
• Adhere to Guysons Security, Safety, Health, and Environment Systems & Quality Systems
• Report all unsafe working conditions or behaviors observed
• Attend all Training Programs & Meetings as required
