The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana (GCRoG) has earned financing under the Guyana – Norway Partnership Agreement for the execution of the Guyana Utility Scale Solar Photovoltaic Program. The financing earned will be administered in accordance with the Policies of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The GCRoG intends to apply part of the proceeds from the Program towards consulting services to strengthen the Executing Agency’s (Guyana Power and Light Inc.) Program Execution Unit.

The general objective is to have a qualified and experienced individual support the Program Execution Unit, particularly the Senior Project Engineer/Solar PV Specialist, with supervision of the civil engineering aspect of the project implementation activities carried out by the Contractor under the contract for Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Eight

(8) Utility Scale Ground- Mounted Solar Photovoltaic Plants with Battery Energy Storage Systems to be constructed at eight (8) sites in Berbice, Linden and Essequibo.

The individual should have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, or equivalent discipline. At least three (3) years’ professional experience in engineering and implementation of infrastructure projects. Experience implementing projects funded by the Inter-American Development Bank or other Multilateral Financial Institutions would be an asset.
