DESCRIPTION

Medical billing is the process of generating healthcare claims to submit to insurance companies for the purpose of obtaining payment for medical services. As a part of medical billing, we are going to deal with Patient Financial Services (PFS) whereas we are going to deal only with patients.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be computer literate.

Must be able to speak English fluently.

Minimum to no experience required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide knowledgeable answers to questions to patients.

Setting payment expectations.

Arranging payments and requesting information from patients.

Assist patients and their insurance carriers to resolve open account balances.

Assess each account and take the appropriate actions.

Verbal Communication is the most important part of PFS.

E-mail’s will play a vital role and should be able to acknowledge it ASAP.
