DRIVER – Associated Packers Industry

VACANCY 
DESCRIPTION

Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes in a safe and timely manner.
Ensure the deliveries of goods to customers are in accordance with what is required.
Ensure the packing and loading of products onto trucks according to the company’s requirement.
Responsible for the supervision of Warehouse staff on vehicle during delivery.
Working hours 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have a sound Secondary education
Must have a valid driver’s license for car/ van and lorry, with a minimum three (3) years experience under lorry license.
Must be able to drive single axle lorry
Forklift license would be an asset
Must be physically fit.
Must be between the ages of 30-55 years.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Review deliveries with customers to ensure goods meet their needs and complete due diligence of company protocol required for such deliveries / tasks.
Conduct inspections of vehicle(s) to ensure that the vehicle(s) is clean and in good working order before departing to deliver goods.
Report all concerns, issues and problems customers may have with employee(s), goods or services offered.
Be professional in dealing with customers and keeping abreast of market / trade, etc.
Maintain communication with route dispatcher.
Abide with all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
