(INTERNAL AUDIT DIVISION)
Vacancies exist for Auditors within the National Insurance Scheme-Guyana.
The position of Auditor is permanent, pensionable and an attractive remuneration is offered.

POSITION SUMMARY
Assists with routine audits of accounts and systems with the aim of highlighting defaults and or discrepancies in order that recommendations could be made for corrective action.
• Examines and Checks accounting records and statements to verify authenticity and accuracy of transactions and ensures that they are supported by adequate documentation and approved by the appropriate levels of Management.
• Audit the systems of internal control. Financial and otherwise to assess the effectiveness of method of operations, as delegated by the Management Auditor.
• Assist with physical inventory and prepares total valuation, checks and traces transactions to stock records or books of original entry to the General Ledger.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should possess at least five (5) subjects at the Caribbean Examinations Council General Proficiency or General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level Examinations. Mathematics and English Language inclusive, and Accounting or Auditing Certificate in order to conduct reviews and prepare working papers and reports plus one to three years experience in the field.
