New Era Publications Corporation (NEPC) is a State-owned Publishing Corporation committed to providing an objective and factual information service to various readership groups. The Corporation is looking for a results-driven and detail-oriented individual to apply for the following position based in Windhoek.

JOB PURPOSE
To effectively oversee the news content of each New Era edition as well as manage online content.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

– Monitors editorial and administrative functions in the department
– Coordinate online or print publishing cycle
– Ensures that editorial department complies with media law and ethical guidelines
– Co-ordinates the planning, generation, execution and assessment of news, features and photographic assignments
– Manages overall quality of all editorial work
– Staff management

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

– Bachelor’s degree [NQA Level 7] in Media Study from a recognized tertiary institution
– Six (6) years relevant working experience of which two (2) years should have been at a supervisory level
– Post graduate qualification is an added advantage
– Proven knowledge of media industry
