PHARMACY ASSISTANT – First Choice Health Care

VACANCY DESCRIPTION

First Choice Health Care is seeking an ambitious, qualified and experienced professional to join our team as a Pharmacy Assistant.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing drugs to patients under the guidance and supervision of a licensed pharmacist as well as maintaining and receiving orders, completing sales transactions, stock inventory and electronic records.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Education Requirements

Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy with a minimum of two years’ experience

or

Five CSEC subjects General Proficiency Grades I, II, III inclusive of Mathematics, English Language and any one of the Science subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Integrated Science, Human and Social Biology or Biology).

RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and Responsibilities

Must be computer literate
Must have experience in operating Point-Of-Sale (POS) system
Must have good communication and public relations skills
Responsible for stock checking and inventory as well as organisation and cleanliness of pharmacy
Prepare, package and label prescription medications under supervision of pharmacist
Maintain proper drugs and consumables storage and security
Assist in stock maintaining, price tagging and stock taking
Maintain inventory record keeping systems
Receive ordered incoming goods, check and update electronic records
Provide patients with information regarding medication and regimen prescribed under the supervision of the pharmacist
Able to work on a shift basis
