DESCRIPTION

The Accountant will offer accounting support to the Procurement and Inventory Department, assisting with financial activities related to GTT and its subsidiaries as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

– Completed ACCA Level 2 or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

– Two years of Accounting experience.

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

– Knowledgeable of MS Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collect monthly usage records for various items to ensure accurate consumption tracking.

· Request adjustments for inaccurate inventory transactions.

· Complete monthly journals for accurately coding Item Fulfilments.

· Update and create replacement Purchase Orders for incorrect details.

· Record monthly journals for default inventory clearing account transactions.

· Submit regular landed cost adjustment requests for accurate valuation of resale inventory, supported by spreadsheets.

· Monthly requests for landed cost adjustments, involving

· Preparing cost spreadsheets by location and item type.

· Discussing item adjustments with Shared Services.

· Monthly reconciliation of the Inventory, Shipping, and Freight ledger, including pending adjustments, billing preparations, and post-adjustment credits.

· Monthly reconciliation and schedules for retail and retail warehouse ledgers, involving: Comparing installation reports to inventory records.

Addressing bills incorrectly coded.

Resolving incomplete item transfers and postings.

· Weekly reviews of retail inventory return for accurate system removal and ledger processing.

· Inventory Master Report Reviews, including summarizing abnormal transactions, resolving issues, and supporting necessary ledger adjustments.
