Demerara Shipping Company Limited (DSCL), a subsidiary of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL), is seeking applications from interested persons to apply for the post of Wharf Operations Supervisor.

• A degree in business management, supply chain management, or any other relevant studies, along with three (3) years experience in a wharf operations supervisory post.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Good verbal and oral communication.
• The ability to work flexible hours.

• Ensure safe loading and discharging of vessels, adhering to instructions from vessels/principals.
• Supervise the packing of cargoes on the wharf and yard, preventing damages, theft, and safety issues.
• Provide detailed reports on damages within 24 hours of any incident and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Ensure all wharf and yard operations meet requirements, including staffing and asset maintenance for safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate records for imports and exports, ensuring full compliance with customs act and maritime regulations.
