COOK AND ASSISTANT COOK – Grand Amazonia Inc.

Our restaurant is seeking a passionate cook & assistant cook to create delicious meals for our patrons. You will be responsible for ensuring that each dish is nutritious and collaborating with a team of kitchen staff to deliver food that meets the highest quality standards.

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
• A food handler’s license.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in a team.
• The ability to work under pressure
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Culinary school training would be advantageous.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.

• Setting up and sanitizing workstations.
• Following prep lists created by chefs.
• Preparing ingredients.
• Ensuring ingredients are properly stored and easily accessible.
• Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.
• Distributing plates to wait staff to be serve
• Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
