Position Summary:

The Facilities Manager will oversee and direct all maintenance operations at the National Training Centre in Providence and the GFF

Secretariat. This role is essential for ensuring a safe, secure, and efficiently functioning environment, monitoring equipment and systems, managing maintenance teams, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regultions.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • A Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or 10 years of experience in the field of maintenance management.
  • A certificate in Facilities Management or a related field is an asset.
  • At least 5 years of experience in facilities management or a similar role.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of maintenance employees.
  • Proficiency in maintenance-related machinery and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of facility maintenance regulations and codes.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the National Training Centre buildings, pitch, and infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality.
  2. Manage the maintenance of the buildings and facilities at the GFF

Secretariat.

  1. Oversee the maintenance of the GFF fleet of vehicles and other equipment andsystems.
  2. Conduct daily inspections of electrical, plumbing, and other essential

systems.

  1. Develop and manage facilities budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.
  2. Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities.
  3. Identify, source, and purchase necessary materials and equipment.
  4. Manage and lead a team of maintenance staff, providing training and support as needed.
