CASHIER – BCAMO Guyana Inc.

The CSR/Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring a smooth sales process, and maintaining accurate cash handling. This position requires knowledge of meat products, strong communication skills, and attention to detail in handling payments and customer inquiries. The CSR/Cashier acts as a frontline representative of the store, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers.

• At least 5 passes (1-3) at CXC inclusive of Mathematics and English.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in customer service and/ cashiering.
• Basic knowledge of meat products or a willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in handling cash, operating a POS system, and performing basic math functions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work shifts that fall between 8am and 7pm, Monday – Saturday

Customer Service:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Address customer inquiries about meat products, including cuts, preparation methods, and product availability.
• Provide product recommendations and suggestions based on customer needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by handling complaints, resolving issues, and following up on any concerns.

Cashiering:

• Accurately operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Process payments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ensure the accuracy of all transactions, including weighing and pricing of meat products.
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.

Sales Support:

• Promote special sales, discounts, or new products to customers.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the butcher staff and other team members to meet customer needs efficiently.
• Participate in team meetings and provide feedback for improving store operations.
