Job Description:

The Security Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all security functions at multiple company locations, including two port facilities, stockpiles, and over five operational worksites requiring 24/7 security. This role ensures the effective management, training, and coordination of personnel involved in gate management, traffic control, and premises security.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a security management role, preferably in multi-site operations.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, knowledge of security compliance, and familiarity with access control systems.
  • Availability: Willingness to work night and day shifts as necessary and respond to emergency situations promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Security Oversight and Procedure Compliance:
    • Manage and enforce security protocols to ensure safety across all company premises, including two ports/stockpiles and multiple workgrounds.
    • Develop and implement security policies and procedures for personnel to follow during day and night shifts.
    • Ensure that security personnel validate passes, perform identity checks, and monitor the ingress and egress of traffic effectively.
  • Personnel Management and Training:
    • Recruit, train, and coordinate security personnel to maintain the highest standards of security.
    • Conduct regular training on security protocols, emergency response, and operational procedures for all staff under supervision.
    • Schedule and monitor shifts, ensuring all posts are adequately staffed and personnel are adhering to security standards.
  • Security Coordination and Reporting:
    • Coordinate with the Field Supervisor to ensure seamless communication and operations across all locations.
    • Prepare detailed reports of security operations, incidents, and personnel performance for review by the Field Supervisor.
    • Submit a comprehensive report to the CEO once every fortnight, highlighting key security activities, incidents, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Premises Security and Access Control:
    • Oversee gate operations, ensuring security personnel conduct thorough validation of passes and secure all entry/exit points effectively.
    • Monitor all high-security areas, including port facilities, stockpiles, and high-traffic workgrounds, to prevent unauthorized access and ensure asset protection.
    • Implement and oversee any necessary emergency security measures as required.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Assess and improve security protocols and personnel performance regularly.
    • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance security measures across all locations.
