We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at ECO Garden international vegetarian restaurant. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Your primary responsibilities will include food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties along with driving management around to appointments, so this candidate should have a valid drivers license .

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation:
  • Washing, peeling, and chopping fresh produce.
  • Preparing various vegetarian dishes, including salads, soups, and main courses.
  • Assisting with meal assembly and plating.
• Kitchen Maintenance:
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Taking out trash and recycling.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Stock Management:
  • Restocking kitchen supplies, such as spices, herbs, and condiments.
  • Storing food items properly to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
• General Kitchen Duties:
  • Assisting the kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.
  • Following food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Adhering to the restaurant’s specific procedures and standards.
  • Driving management to different appointments etc.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a vegetarian or vegan restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and team player mentality.
• Should have a valid drivers license
