Description
Welcome guests and offer detailed information about room features, hotel amenities, and nearby attractions. The receptionist is tasked with maintaining the hotel’s standards and overseeing the day-to-day operations to ensure smooth running of affairs.
Requirements
- At least 1 year experience in similar role
- At least five (5) CXC subjects, inclusive of English and Math Grades 1 – 3
- Must be computer literate
- Any tertiary certification will be considered and asset
- Second language would be an asset.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon their arrival and ensure they feel at ease.
- Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out process, including handling reservations, payments, and room assignments.
- Address phone calls and guest questions regarding hotel services, room availability, amenities, and local attractions.
- Handle bookings, cancellations, and modifications of reservations.
- Listen to and resolve guest complaints.
- Keep accurate records of guest information, reservations, and financial transactions.
- Communicate and coordinate with housekeeping, chef and maintenance to fulfill guest requests and ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and ensure the security of the reception area, including managing access to rooms and handling guest keys.
- Cater to guests’ special requests, such as arranging transportation, meals etc.
- Ensure the reception and lobby areas are organized and welcoming.
Remuneration/Benefits
