PROPERTY MAINTENANCE MANAGER – Demerara Distillers Limited

Demerara Distillers Limited & Subsidiaries (DDL) is seeking applications from interested persons with the requisite qualifications and experience, for the position of Property Maintenance Manager.      

Requirements

•   A Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with five (5) years experience in a management role.
•   Excellent knowledge of construction methods, regulations, and AutoCAD.
•   Strong verbal and written communication.   
•   Ability to lead a team and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

•   Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend the life of properties.
•   Manage and oversee the work of maintenance staff, including assigning tasks, providing training where necessary, and evaluating performance.
•   Conduct regular inspections of property facilities to identify and address potential problems.
•   Oversee the maintenance of all property systems, including plumbing, electrical, and landscaping.
•   Manage the execution of repairs and renovations, ensuring quality and adherence to budget and timelines.
•   Manage budgets for maintenance and procure materials and supplies needed for maintenance activities.
•   Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to property maintenance and safety.
