Description

• To review applications, establish appropriate screening protocols, and developing new methodologies and models to assess the financial risk that the company assumes in the course of its transactions with clients.

Requirements

• Diploma in Management, and or Business Administration from a recognized university
•   Must be computer Literate (Quickbooks Proficiency)
•   At least 2-3 Years’ Underwriting Insurance Experience
• Good Interpersonal Skills

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing insurance applications for compliance and adherence
• Properly assess clients’ background information and financial status
• Liaising with specialists to gather information and opinions
• Weight loss exposures and determine underwriting alternatives
• Participate in continuing education courses to remain knowledgeable and competitive in the industry
• Review insurance claims and terms to determine the amount to be paid out by the company
• Decide whether or not to offer insurance
• Determine coverage and premiums based on risk assessed
• Review quotes for competitive insurance premiums
• Negotiate and define the specific terms of insurance policies with brokers or policyholders
• Keep detailed records of policies underwritten and decisions made
• Balance between mass and homogeneity of risks to achieve predictability of future results
• Follow applicable insurance laws
• Any other related duties that maybe assigned to you
