Description
As the Offsite Distribution Centre Manager, you are leading and managing all logistics and distribution functions in a manner that ensures safe and accurate operations and custody of all stock in the facility. You are ensuring the security and serving as the principal custodian for the facility, as well as all inventory, equipment, and personnel therein.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in warehousing distribution, retail operations, or a similar field, with senior management experience in a medium to large retail/commercial operation.
- Proven leadership experience, managing teams of at least 2 Supervisors and 10 team members.
- Strong understanding of Warehouse/Logistics Management practices and procedures.
- Exposure to large retail/commercial operations, with expertise in Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems, Fleet Management Systems, or other supply chain systems.
- Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally in medium to large organizations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and monitoring skills.
- Ability to effectively lead teams, collaborate, influence, and teach best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate receipt and dispatch of items in the ERP (Mersys/Cosacs) within timelines and company policies.
- Follow policies and procedures to safeguard against stock losses.
- Complete and investigate all cycle and perpetual counts in collaboration with the Internal Control Team.
- Assist in investigating and addressing exceptional shortages, losses, or out-of-stock issues with corrective actions.
- Ensure proper stacking, storing, and handling procedures to minimize stock damage and staff injury.
- Collaborate with Senior Logistics and Purchasing Managers to estimate and communicate warehousing capacity needs based on incoming inventory and commercial plans.
- Ensure compliance with inbound procedures by tracking pending arrivals and updating stock accurately.
- Collaborate with Senior Managers to efficiently plan and execute outbound activities, such as Stock Transfers.
- Ensure timely and accurate outbound transactions for stock fulfillment and updates.
- Lead, manage, and motivate warehouse supervisors and personnel to perform duties accurately, safely, and on time.
- Monitor and evaluate personnel performance, addressing breaches of procedures and unsafe work practices.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to support timely, safe, and accurate logistics execution in compliance with company policies and standards.
