Description
The Pump Technician engages in hands on maintenance, trouble shooting and service and repair work on pumps at all of the company’s sites and service stations.
Requirements
- Technical Institute Diploma or equivalent certification in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge on general equipment maintenance; mechanical, electro-mechanical and pumping systems and pump maintenance
- Prior work experience in same or similar capacity is highly desirable
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and application software to general service reports
- Ability to perform service activities and work with a diverse team at varying locations.
Responsibilities
Primary duties includes:
- Interfaces with service station, terminal and fuel depot personnel to perform hands-on shop and/or on-site pump trouble shooting maintenance, testing and repairs to pump
- Perform hands on shop work, on site disassembly, inspection, cleaning and re-assembly of pumps and other mechanical equipment
- Ensure materials used are compliant with manufacturer specification
- Interpret schematics for assembly, repair and assembly as required including completion of applicable quality documentation
- Performs failure assessments and make recommendation to supervisor as required
- Routine safety inspection and observation
