Description

The Projectionist is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of projection and audio-visual equipment to ensure a high-quality cinematic experience for all patrons. This includes monitoring film screenings, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing routine maintenance on projection systems. The role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to delivering a seamless movie experience.

Requirements

• Experience in similar position.
• Formal qualification in I.T or related field.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good technical skills.
• Be practical and able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital cinema projection systems to ensure smooth playback of movies and advertisements.
• Conduct pre-screening checks to verify that movies are correctly formatted, cued, and synchronized with the audio.
• Monitor sound and picture quality throughout screenings, adjusting settings as needed for optimal performance.
• Ensure all scheduled screenings, trailers, and advertisements are loaded and played on time without interruption.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on projection equipment, including lens cleaning, filter replacement, and software updates.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to projection, sound, automation, and network connectivity.
• Update and manage showtime schedules as required.
