Description
Responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of all Company Fleet and Engine Driven Assets (Diesel and Gasoline Engines)
Requirements
- Level 11 Craft Certificate in Diesel Mechanic or any other related Industrial training in Diesel Mechanic.
- Three (3) subjects CXC.
- Minimum of two (2) years working experience in this field.
Responsibilities
- To be able to troubleshoot a diesel/gasoline engine and take corrective action.
- To exercise good housekeeping, techniques and conduct at all times.
- Carry out servicing and repairs of all diesel engines and related components (turbocharger, fuel pumps, oil pumps and water pumps etc).
- To be able to carry out undercarriage inspection and perform necessary corrective action.
- To be able to carry out inspections on transmission systems (automatic and manual) and perform necessary corrective actions.
- To be familiar with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and comply with same.
- Must adhere to Company’s policies, rules and documented procedures.
- Ensure proper care and custody of all equipment.
