Description
The Warehouse Associate will play a key role in supporting daily operations by accurately receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. Operate manual and powered material handling equipment, maintain accurate inventory records, fulfill and prepare orders, and ensure a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to all safety and operational procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience in a warehouse setting and operating a forklift or cherry picker
- Able to use computer applications, such as Microsoft Office, barcode scanner, adding machine, telephone.
- Experience with an ERP system
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk and stand 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or
- extreme cold.
Responsibilities
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas using manual and powered material handling devices (Bendi Forklifts, pallet jacks, standup forklifts).
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers.
- Accumulate customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers. Responsible for stocking and/or moving to the appropriate designated areas.
- Responsible for receiving, shipping and electronic record keeping all amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Maintain inventory, perform cycle counts and other various inventory duties.
- Unload, receive and process shipments from Fedex, UPS, and/or other freight carriers.
