VACANCIES FOR INSPECTORS

The National Insurance Scheme-Guyana invites suitably qualified individuals to fill the fulltime position of Inspectors

The post of Inspector is permanent, pensionable and an attractive remuneration is offered.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring that employers and employed persons comply with the National Insurance Scheme’s Laws and Regulations with respect to Chapter 36:01
of the Laws of Guyana, by investigating and advising on matters of compliance, non-compliance and associated irregularities.

• Examines circumstances of non-compliance brought against employers as well as charges alleging infringement of the National Insurance Regulations and interviews, employers, employed persons and witnesses to ascertain facts of case.

• Checks on employers and self-employed persons in their working environment and scrutinizes their records and book to conform compliance with National Insurance Scheme’s regulations with respect to payment of contributions and registration of all employed persons, as well as to explain the risk and penalties of non-compliance.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Applicants should possess at least five (5) subjects at the Caribbean Examinations Council General Proficiency or General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level
Examinations including English Language and Mathematics along with two (2) years’ experience with the Scheme or related field.

Knowledge of the National Insurance Scheme’s Act and Regulations, Chapter 36:01
and Amendment hereto.
