GUYANA DEFENCE FORCE

The Guyana Defence Force is inviting applications from suitable candidates to become Officers in the GDF and to be trained by the United States Military at one of the following institutions:
A) United States Air Force Academy
B) United States Coast Guard Academy
C) United States Military Academy (West Point)
D) United States Naval Academy

Candidates will be a part of the Guyana Defence Force Standard Officer Course until selected for training in the United States.

Candidates must be:

• A) between 17 years 6 months and 22 years old

• B) single and without dependents

• C) possess a SAT score of 600 or above, or an ACT score of 27 and above.

• Candidates awaiting SAT or ACT scores, or intending to write the SAT or ACT examinations are also encouraged to apply.

• Be healthy

• Have a minimum of five (5) CSEC subjects at one sitting, or six (06) subjects at two sittings, inclusive of English Language and Mathematics with Grades I or II.

• One subject with Grade III may be accepted if it is not Mathematics or English Language. A Technical Diploma or Higher Certification from the University of Guyana will also be accepted.

• 2 Copies Police clearance (no more than three months old)

• Bank Account Number (Allotment forms if Necessary)
