Description
Demerara Distillers Limited is seeking applications from interested persons with the requisite license and experience to fill the position of Forklift Operator.

Requirements

Tractor license and a minimum of one (1) year experience as a Forklift Operator.

Good verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a team setting.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

Safely load and unload materials from vehicles like trucks and trailers.

Move stock, often on pallets or in crates, to different locations such as storage areas, production area, and loading trucks.

Place materials in correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions, and ensure loads are secure and balanced.

Wrap orders for shipment or store and ensure they are complete and accurate.

Perform pre-use inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working order and identify any need for repairs.
