Metro Office & Computer Supplies is seeking Copier/IT Technicians. Description: 1) Will be stationed at our main branch Location. 2) Working hours 8am to 430pm (1hr lunch). Key Responsibilities

  • Networking and IT Support: Configure IP addresses, set up scan-to-email, Scan-to-Folder (SMB/FTP), and install print driver
  • Technical Repairs: Diagnose and repair malfunctioning copiers, printers, and scanners (mechanical and electronic components).
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, replacing rollers/drums) to prevent downtime.
  • Software Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot printing software, print management solutions, and connectivity issues (network connectivity).
  • Inventory Management: Manage, order, and track parts and supplies
  • Call up all the locations in the mornings to check on individual machine status
  • Updating daily machine count
  • Updating machine files
  • Record and complete job sheets
  • Preparing requisitions
  • Record and complete job sheets for the testing and servicing of fax machines and printers

Requirements

  • 5 Subjects CXC Grade 1-3(Inclusive of Mathematics, English A & Information Technology) or equivalent;
  • Associate degree in IT, networking, or electronics.
  • Experience: 1-3+ years of experience in printer/copier repair or similar field-service technician roles.
  • IT Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and Windows operating systems.
  • Optional Certifications: CompTIA Network+ is highly valued, along with manufacturer certifications.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, excellent customer service, and independent problem-solving abilities.
  • Physical & Requirements: Ability to lift over 50 pounds, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
