Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the vacant position of ACCOUNTS CLERK III (CASHIER) within the Central Housing and Planning Authority, Regional Housing Office, Region tt 9.

The incumbent will be responsible for the collection & depositing of Revenue on a daily basis within the Regional Housing Office, Region It 9.

JOB Description

  • Write Receipts for each payment accepted so that Revenue can be verified against the receipts and entries in the Database on a daily basis;
  • Balance the Account to ensure that all monies collected are accounted for;
  • All monies collected are deposited in the Bank on a daily basis;
  • Enter all payments in the LMS and QuickBooks on a daily basis;
  • Update used and unused Receipt Book on a daily basis which is a Control Register those records issued and cancelled Receipts;
  • Prepare Revenue Collection report.

Skills, knowledge and abilities



  1. Cash and Cheque Management and Reconciliation
  2. Operation of Computerized cashier system
  3. Customer Relations/service
  4. Excellent communication and reporting skills ,Computer Literacy ,Maintenance of Historical Data and Analytical Skills

Qualification required



  • Five (5) subjects CXC including Mathematics, English and Accounts
  • Certified Accounting Technician- CAT level 2 (will be an asset)
  • Advance certificate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.)
  • Knowledge in Accounting Software will be an asset.
  • Two (2) years of working experience in an accounting field or as a Cashier.
