Inventory Clerk
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a detail-oriented, hard-working Inventory Clerk to join our team. Assists with inventory and overseeing and maintaining a hotel supply of products and equipment. Keeps track of the goods and supplies in hotel. Signing off on supplies, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven work experience as an Inventory Clerk or similar role
- Excellent math and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on weekends and holidays
- Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining and updating records
- Counting materials, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock
- Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
- Preparing inventory for orders from vendors and suppliers and securing supplies arrival times
- Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products for hotel
- Maintain filing, database systems, and inventories.
- Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the hotels standards
- Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management
- Reporting discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft
- Implementing loss prevention programs to prevent theft
- Obtaining estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs
- Researching the accuracy of product details and testing new products
