Market Specialist
PURPOSE STATEMENT
■ To guarantee the execution of the RTM commercial plans that contribute to realizing our optimal weighted and numeric distribution targets, according to the cycle and distribution plan of the clients of the assigned territory.
■ To gain competitive advantage and to enhance brand, volume and profit performance trade marketing organizations need to successfully implement BATs new trade marketing policy.
■ To Fulfill the objectives of volume and portfolio, brand coverage and execution at the point of sale.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
■ Develop and implement a territory hade marketing plan which meets the objectives of the national trade marketing plan in the areas of brand, volume, merchandising and promotion.
■ Ensure that the territory distribution objectives of company brands are achieved in all outlets, including those which are not visited, by trade channel and outlet type in order that availability is maximised in line with brand strategies and the needs of the market.
■ Provide trade marketing information and reports (daily-weekly) related to performance and accounts to ensure that the Area Manager and TM&D Manager are fully informed at all times.
■ Develop strong business relationships with the decision takers at key points of sale to promote opportunities for dialogue with the consumer to grow in the mar ket and protect BATs position against competitive threats
■ Reinforce Brand messages in the different communication channels and collect competitor activity information for reporting and action.
■ Manage the implementation of account plans for merchandising and promotion in the outlets of account chains in order to achieve account brand, volume and share objectives.
■ Manage financial accounts and assets for the area to ensure that trade marketing resources are secure and used in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
■ Collaborate with the sales representatives who serve customers in your territory to maintain a healthy portfolio according to established indicators and report to the Area Manager any anomaly, deviation or event that impacts on the collection.

■ Effectively manage suppliers (i.e. agency, contractors, etc.) to ensure that all approved promotional or merchandising plans are implemented in an effectively and timely manner.
■ Builds and maintains national presence in marketing and promotion programmes with optimum use of resources and materials in order to achieve the highest in-store visibility and sales performance for the key strategic brands throughoutthe territory by gaining the active support of thetrade.
Knowledge and Experience
■ University degree.
■ Valid Driver’s Licence.
■ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
■ Good Computer skills in all basic applications, i.e Microsoft Office, Internet, Powerpoint, etc.
■ 1-2 yearsof experience working in the trade is desired, preferably with another FMCG company.
Skills
■ First class analytical, interpersonal, communication (oral &amp,- written), negotiation and planning skills.
■ Proven ability to think both strategically a nd conceptually
■ Business and financial acumen
■ Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions and action plans within organizational policy. Achievement of territorydistribution, volume, merchandising and promotion targets.
■ Effective implementation of key accountand/ortradechannel programmes
