HOUSEKEEPER
The Guyana Tourism Authority is a semi-autonomous governmental agency whose mission is to develop and promote sustainable tourism in Guyana through collaboration to maximise local socio-economic and conservation outcomes and improve the visitors’ experience.
We arc seeking an experienced, honest and highly motivated individual to fill the position of Housekeeper. The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness of the office facilities and support departments to ensure the smooth operation of the Authority.

Key responsibilities of the position include;
• Maintaining clean office spaces, furniture and equipment based on a schedule to ensure the office is always visitor-ready.
• Maintaining a well-organised and clean kitchen space stocked with the necessary’ supplies.
• Assisting with welcoming visitors to the office with warm and friendly greetings.
• Ensuring that the boardroom and training room are prepared before meetings/trainings/engagement sessions and managing the preparation and distribution of refreshments during these sessions.
• Assisting with making/answering calls, providing general information and assistance, and redirecting calls to specific departments.
• Assisting in maintaining security and professionalism by confirming the names of visitors and the organisations they represent before alerting the relevant departments.
• Maintaining a professional standard of conduct, reliability and communication at all times in accordance with the GTA Staff Code of Conduct and other relevant Policies and Procedures.
• Any other tasks which may be assigned.
Required Qualifications/ Competencies/ Skills and Experience;
• A sound secondary education.
• Good proficiency in English (Oral and Written).
• Aged between 30 – 45 years.
• Good health and fitness record.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
• Must be reliable, honest and hardworking.
Compensation; Commensurate with experience. Benefits include duty allowance, travel allowance, vacation allowance, and gratuity. A 90-day introductory’ period applies to all new positions.
