To successfully execute industrial automation and remote monitoring projects for our clients with remote support from our international partners, Candidates need to exhibit a professional posture should have a strong foundation in electrical and IT principles, with the ability to learn and apply instrumentation and automation.
Requirements
Core Competencies Needed:
- Electrical & Basic Control Systems Knowledge
– Understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and power distribution in industrial environments.
– Familiarity with electrical panels, breakers, and wiring standards.
– Ability to read and follow electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
– Comfort using basic electrical tools (multimeters, testers, and hand tools) for troubleshooting.
- IT & Networking Fundamentals
– Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, and network setup.
– Understanding of IP addressing, Wi-Fi, and basic network troubleshooting.
– Ability to install and configure remote access software for support sessions.
- Willingness to Learn Instrumentation & Automation
– Ability to follow step-by-step remote guidance on setting up instrumentation devices (sensors, transmitters, actuators).
– Openness to learning basic PLC and automation concepts over time.
– Comfort with hands-on tasks such as wiring, device mounting, and configuration based on instructions.
- Strong Troubleshooting & Remote Collaboration Skills
– Ability to follow remote instructions precisely for troubleshooting and installations.
– Comfort using videoconferencing tools and smart glasses for live remote guidance.
– Strong communication skills to describe issues and confirm task completion with the remote engineering team.
- Safety & Industrial Worksite Awareness
– Familiarity with basic electrical safety and workplace safety protocols.
– Willingness to follow site-specific safety procedures when working in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- The position will require 80-90% travel to various project sites
- You will support our team with the installation, commissioning and service of our machine- and automation systems
- Expansion and adaptation to the Siemens control system, taking into account mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic system components
- Adaptation of the PLC safety program taking into account the risk assessment
- Integration and testing of new software modules for existing and new machine applications
- Commissioning of the systems and testing of all functions
- Acceptance and handover of the machine to the customer, including operator training and production support
- Maintenance and service of existing machines
