– Performing daily equipment and other maintenance.
– Ensuring that sections assigned are clean and tidy.
– Ensuring that all results are signed off in Log Books and Reporting forms
scanned and dispatched
– Ensuring quality controls are performed and recorded appropriately.
– Recording results in log books and report forms.
– Become acquainted with all sections of the laboratory.
– Instructing patients as regard to pre- testing requirements.
– Assisting in reagent preparation.
– Ensuring that there are always working materials, reagents, tests kits and
disposables in the department during and after every shift.

– Being responsible for specimen processing and test performance.
– Collecting various specimens through phlebotomy. Operating and
maintaining designated laboratory equipment.

Requirements
-Certificate in Phlebotomy / Medical Technician Certificate
-Five Subjects CXC inclusive of Mathematics and English Language
– Must be computer literate.
– Good oral and written communication skills.

Ensuring all samples are transported, received, and stored correctly.
Request/Indent, by using the software, stock for departmental use.
Ensuring medical laboratory reagent and supplies inventory are maintained.
Monitoring reagent/consumables use in each section to ensure the timely indenting of stocks and appropriate recording of consumption in all ledgers.
