Description
Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, and production machines and equipment; check that all machines are in good working order; give support to the Plant Mechanic; maintain job performance, quality and house-keeping standards.
Requirements
UG/GTI/GITC Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Metal Work Engineering
2-3 Yrs. related work experience. Computer Literacy
Responsibilities
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Repair/replace defective parts of devices and install special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Assist in overhauling of machines and monitor the machine settings at regular intervals during operation.
- Inspect all machines during operation and check that they have proper functioning components.
